Private Transcribe is designed with privacy as a core principle:

• All audio processing happens locally on your device
• No audio recordings are transmitted to any server
• No transcriptions are uploaded or stored externally
• No user accounts or registration required
• No analytics or tracking of user behavior

Microphone Access

The app requests microphone permission solely to record audio for on-device transcription. Audio is processed locally using Whisper AI models and is never transmitted externally.

Local Storage

The app stores the following data locally on your device:

• Downloaded Whisper AI models
• Your transcription history
• App settings and preferences

You can delete all local data at any time from the Settings screen.

Third-Party Services

Model files are downloaded from Hugging Face. No personal data is shared during download.

Children's Privacy

The app does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is suitable for all ages.
